About

The Sunshine Cottage is a project by Elizabeth Schorr & Co., part passion project, part experiment, and part showcase of the kind of websites we love to build. It’s also a space to explore how social media and live shopping are changing the way we share, shop, and connect.

At its heart, The Sunshine Cottage is about supporting artists and celebrating the stories of creative friends. Elizabeth often asks herself, “How many gallery walls is too many gallery walls?” Her answer: if you love it, buy it. Don’t worry about where it’s going to hang. Collect pieces that speak to you and let them surround you.

The Artists

The Sunshine Cottage is filled with pieces from people we admire — friends, local makers, and creatives whose work tells a story. Some are lifelong artists, some are just beginning to share their talents, but all bring something special to the table.

Every piece has a person behind it, and that’s what makes it meaningful. This isn’t a big-box shop, it’s a place to discover the kind of art you want to live with, created by people you’ll be glad to know.

If you’re an artist who’d like to be part of The Sunshine Cottage, we’d love to hear from you. Reach out anytime at hello@thesunshinecottage.com

About Elizabeth Schorr

Elizabeth is a brand consultant, graphic designer, and cheerleader for small business owners in Macon, Georgia. By day, she helps entrepreneurs get legit — polishing their content, building their online presence, and creating systems and strategies to keep up in today’s fast-changing world.

She believes people want to do business with people. That’s why telling your story matters, and why projects like The Sunshine Cottage exist — to share stories, creativity, and connection.

Outside of work, Elizabeth and her bluegrass-loving husband are raising their three children. She’s happiest at home watering plants in the yard or sipping coffee in the quiet before the sun comes up. She feels lucky every day.

The Name

The Sunshine Cottage is named after Elizabeth’s great-grandmother, “Weedie,” who once ran a cottage-kindergarten in her backyard with the very same name.

We love imagining what it must have been like for Weedie to run a business in a world without the internet, text messages, or social media. With only creativity, determination, and the support of her community, she made it all work. Carrying the name forward feels like a way of honoring that spirit.
